About This Role
Coordinate oversize/overweight ground transportation across the U.S. You'll manage permits, plan routes, and work with specialized carriers to ensure safe delivery of heavy lift cargo.
Responsibilities
- Plan routes for oversized and overweight loads
- Obtain state permits and coordinate with DOT
- Select and manage specialized carriers
- Arrange escort vehicles and utility coordination
- Monitor shipments and resolve issues
- Ensure compliance with all transport regulations
- Maintain carrier relationships and negotiate rates
Requirements
- 4+ years experience in heavy haul or OD/OW transportation
- Strong knowledge of state permitting requirements
- Experience with route surveys and engineering
- Familiarity with heavy haul equipment types
- Problem-solving skills and calm under pressure
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Valid driver's license
