Transport Equipment
MAFI Trailers & Roll Trailers for RoRo Shipping
MAFI trailers and roll trailers are heavy-duty platform trailers used to load static cargo onto RoRo vessels, combining flexibility of breakbulk with RoRo efficiency.
Overview
MAFI trailers (named after the German manufacturer) and roll trailers are low-bed trailers designed to carry static cargo on RoRo vessels. Cargo is loaded onto the trailer using cranes or forklifts, then the trailer is towed onto the ship by terminal tractors. This allows non-wheeled cargo to benefit from fast RoRo loading/discharge. MAFIs are commonly used for project cargo, machinery, and industrial equipment.
