Yoder & Frey, the U.S. arm of Euro Auctions, sells construction equipment at Kissimmee, Florida and at yards in Sealy, Texas, Newnan, Georgia and North Baltimore, Ohio. You pay by the last day of the sale, collect a Passout, and remove the machine within a week, or two weeks at the Florida yard.
How Yoder & Frey works for export buyers
Yoder & Frey has been part of the Euro Auctions Group, the family-owned Northern Irish auctioneer, since 2017, so Euro Auctions' U.S. sales are Yoder & Frey sales. Ritchie Bros. agreed to buy Euro Auctions in 2021 and dropped the deal in 2022, so the two are separate companies.
The Kissimmee sale is held at 654 West Southport Road; the other yards are at 7044 I-10 in Sealy (Houston), 300 Raymond Hill Road in Newnan (Atlanta) and 2384 Grant Road in North Baltimore (Findlay). The company's site also lists sales by The Auction Company at Colton and Madera, California.
Yoder & Frey does not arrange or pay for transport, but it issues notarized export invoices for buyers shipping out of the United States from the registration office.
Yoder & Frey buyer terms
- Bidder approval
- First-time bidders verify a credit card for a bidding limit up to $50,000; above that a refundable deposit by cash, certified check, wire or card sets the limit. Source
- Payment
- By the last day of the sale. Personal and company checks need a bank letter of guarantee, and nothing is released until the funds are in Yoder & Frey's account. Source
- Release
- After all lots on the invoice are paid you receive a Passout, which must be shown to remove equipment from the yard. Source
- Removal deadline
- No later than one week after the auction, except at the Florida yard, where buyers have two weeks. Source
- Export documents
- Notarized export invoices are available in the registration office for buyers shipping outside the United States. Source
- Titles
- Usually mailed by certified mail 7 to 14 days after payment, or by FedEx if you give a FedEx account number. Source
- Insurance and transport
- You insure the purchase from the fall of the hammer. Yoder & Frey does not arrange or pay for transport but keeps a list of hauliers. Source

After you win at Yoder & Frey
- 1Pay the invoice before the last day of the sale ends; a check without a bank letter will hold the release.
- 2Collect the notarized export invoice and the Passout at the registration office, or ask us to collect them with the machine.
- 3Send us the invoice, the yard and the lot numbers. We plan the pickup inside one week, or two weeks at Kissimmee.
- 4We collect the machine, load it with our own carrier and take it to the port, or first to our facility if it needs partial disassembly to fit a container.
- 5We file the export declaration (EEI) in the Automated Export System. It is required when any Schedule B line is worth more than $2,500 or needs an export license, and its ITN confirmation goes to the carrier at least 24 hours before the vessel loads.
- 6For titled machines and vehicles, the original title and the EEI go to U.S. Customs at the port at least 72 hours before export. Without them the unit cannot sail.
- 7We send you the bill of lading and the documents your customs broker needs to clear the machine at destination.
How we work with Yoder & Frey
- Our driver shows the Passout at the yard gate; without it Yoder & Frey will not release the machine.
- We price each yard from its own closest ports: Jacksonville from Kissimmee, Houston from Sealy, Savannah and Brunswick from Newnan, and New York/New Jersey, Baltimore or Chicago rail from North Baltimore.
- The notarized export invoice goes into the export filing with the title, so the machine clears U.S. Customs without a second set of papers.

Container is usually the cheapest option, and we do the partial disassembly needed to make the machine fit. How we containerize heavy equipment
Container, flat rack, RoRo or breakbulk?
We quote in this order because it is usually cheapest first. Most machines that look too big for a box fit once our crew takes off the bucket, boom, cab or wheels; larger ones are taken further apart across several containers, and pieces too big or heavy for a flat rack or roll trailer go breakbulk.
01Container
Best fit- Work needed
- We partially disassemble when needed (bucket, boom, cab, wheels), or take larger machines further apart across several high-cubes and open-tops, then crate, block and lash every part.
- Destinations
- Widest: almost every port worldwide, plus inland delivery by rail.
- Typical cost
- Usually the lowest, with no out-of-gauge surcharges.
- Protection
- Sealed steel box; loose parts and attachments travel locked inside.
- Best for
- Most machines: compact ones as they are, others after partial disassembly, and large ones split across several containers.
02Flat rack
- Work needed
- Ships assembled, blocked and lashed. Surcharges apply when wider than 2.4 m or taller than about 1.95 m.
- Destinations
- Most container ports, on the same vessels as containers.
- Typical cost
- Moderate; rises with every centimetre out of gauge.
- Protection
- Open to the weather; we protect cabs, electronics and hydraulics.
- Best for
- Excavators, dozers and loaders too wide for a container door.
03RoRo
- Work needed
- Drives on assembled; non-runners go on a roll trailer.
- Destinations
- Fewer destinations: regular lanes to Europe, West Africa, the Middle East, Oceania and parts of Latin America.
- Typical cost
- Often competitive for large self-propelled machines where a lane exists.
- Protection
- Below deck, but loose items and attachments cannot ride inside the cab.
- Best for
- Running machines going to a port with regular RoRo sailings.
04Breakbulk
- Work needed
- Lifted aboard piece by piece by ship’s or shore cranes, on its own skids or cradle, then stowed and lashed in the hold or on deck.
- Destinations
- Ports with breakbulk berths and heavy-lift cranes; sailings are booked voyage by voyage.
- Typical cost
- Usually the highest for a single small machine; often the only option for the largest pieces.
- Protection
- In the hold or lashed on deck; we crate, wrap and protect exposed parts.
- Best for
- Pieces too large or heavy for a flat rack or roll trailer: transformers, process modules, mining trucks, crane sections.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating Euro Auctions and Yoder & Frey as different sellers. The invoice, Passout and removal rules come from Yoder & Frey.
- Planning a Kissimmee two-week window for a Sealy, Newnan or North Baltimore lot, where removal is one week.
- Shipping without the notarized export invoice, which then has to be requested after the machine has left the yard.
