Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Seaway Project Cargo ("we", "us") collects through this website, our phone line and our services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information You Give Us
- Quote requests: your name, company, email, phone, country, cargo details, and origin and destination.
- Contact and complaint forms: your name, contact details and message.
- Customer onboarding: company and contact details, address, tax ID, your initials on each terms section, and your signature.
- Newsletter: your email address.
- Shipments: shipper, consignee and notify-party details, cargo descriptions and values, and documents you send us to move your cargo.
2. Phone Calls
Calls to our phone line may be answered by an automated voice assistant. For each call we keep the number you called from, the time and length of the call, and a transcript and summary of the conversation, so our team can follow up and review the quality of our service.
3. Information Collected Automatically
- Server logs: our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and secure the site.
- Analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which count page views, form submissions, contact link clicks and page speed in aggregate and do not use cookies.
- Lead attribution log: when you send a quote request or message, we keep a record of the form used, the channel you arrived from (for example a search engine or an AI assistant), and the pages you landed on and sent it from. This record holds no name, email address, phone number or IP address.
- Google Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand which pages and channels lead to enquiries. It is set up for analytics only: advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are turned off. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland it runs without cookies. Elsewhere it sets first-party cookies (
_ga,_ga_*). You can opt out with Google's opt-out add-on. - Bot protection: when you submit a form, Vercel BotID checks signals from your browser to tell people from automated traffic.
- Address autocomplete: on the homepage quote form, the addresses you type are sent to Google Places to suggest matches.
- Your browser: a cookie that remembers your language, and session storage that holds your quote confirmation and any onboarding draft until you close the tab. See our Cookie Policy.
4. How We Use Information
- Respond to your requests and send quotes
- Book, move and document your shipments
- Set up customer accounts and credit terms
- Meet legal requirements, such as export filings and recordkeeping
- Prevent spam, fraud and abuse of our forms
- Send our newsletter, if you subscribed
- Understand how the site is used and improve it
5. Who We Share It With
We share information only as needed to provide our services:
- Shipping partners: carriers, agents, truckers, warehouses and customs brokers handling your cargo, at origin and destination.
- Government agencies: for example, export filings with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and import filings in the destination country.
- Service providers: Vercel (hosting, analytics and bot protection), Google (analytics), Resend (email delivery), Twilio and ElevenLabs (phone line and voice assistant), Neon (call records and lead attribution database) and Google (maps and address autocomplete).
- Legal reasons: when required by law or to protect our rights.
We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
6. How Long We Keep It
We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Shipment and export records are kept for at least five years, as U.S. export regulations require. Quote requests that do not lead to a shipment, and call records, are deleted when they are no longer needed.
7. Security
We use encrypted connections, access controls and reputable service providers to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so please do not send payment card details through our forms or by email.
8. Your Choices and Rights
- Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it, subject to our legal recordkeeping duties
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law. To make a request, email us. We will verify your request and respond as the law requires.
9. International Shipments
We are based in the United States. Moving cargo internationally means sending shipment details to carriers, agents and authorities in other countries, which may have different privacy laws.
10. Children
Our website and services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16.
11. Changes to This Policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
